If this picture offends you...

I'm kinda upset at how pathetic the Jazz looked last night. I really couldn't even stand to sit and watch that upset of a game. How embarrasing....It's definitley time to step it up boys!

In other news, apparently it really is cheaper to shop at Walmart....Today on KSL,...but this is why I've been avoiding it as much as possible in the past few years:

If this picture grosses you out or offends you, just let me know and I might think about taking it off...maybe.

I like chocolate, cream filled donuts!

The past couple of weeks have come and gone without me posting a blog, and now it's April. It's the beginning of warmer weather, the beginning of spring, and the beginning of more free time (in approximately 3 weeks). Here's what we've been up to these last 2 weeks:

***Last Wednesday Ty and I were able to go to the Jazz game against the Timberwolves. What a fun time we had and it was great being able to have good seats (every other Jazz game I've been to has been in the nosebleeds). This is a picture of Kyle Korver. I took this for all of my friends who have a crush on him.
And these are the ducks that Ty and I saw on their way to the drive thru at Burger King. I wonder what they were going to order?
***I bought a digital scrapbooking program! I'm so excited to get started with it. I have been inspired by other people's projects and am just so amazed at what other's can do. This program was supposedly one of the better programs with 60,000 graphics, 5,000 embellishments, 1,500 fonts, and more.

***Last Friday we went out with the Buttler's and the Rodriguez's to Tepenyaki. The Buttler's have been trying to get us to try sushi and suggested this place. It was nummo!! Ty and I split an entree and tried a bunch of different sushi's our favorite was the Las Vegas.
The Boys (note the Geisha girl trying to get in the picture)
The Girls (Oh, there she is again)

The Las Vegas Roll... Mmm

***We are still working on projects around our house and these hands here prove I've been painting. Ty's Mom has been so great about helping us out with everything from painting to decorating. This is the table that she found for us at Lowe's on clearance. Can you believe it was only $20 for the table and the mirror???

***Last Saturday and Sunday was General Conference. Let's just say that I walk away from conference wanting to be a better person and loving the gospel even more! It was a great experience to participate in the solemn assembly in sustaining President Monson. I know he is a man called by our Heavenly Father.

***Tuesday we were able to see the temple marriage of a family friend. It brought back lots of memories of Ty and I's wedding day. What an amazing day. I'll also never forget the love and support of our family and friends.

***My Mom's last chemo treatment was on Wednesday. What a trial this has been for her and my Dad and for the rest of the family. We are so excited for her to begin to get better and get back to being a healthy and an active person again. I love her so much!!

***Yesterday we went to Peter Pan with the youth in our ward. It was put on by Bonneville high. I love this story. It's kinda funny the different reactions that we got from the young men and from the young women. One young man said under his breath, "That was an hour and a half of torture!", while most of the young women thought it was such an amazing play!
***Today is Roo's birthday. He is 3...can you believe it? Where have the years gone:) We will be taking him to pet's mart to let him choose his very own toy. HAPPY BIRTHDAY LITTLE ROO!

Get a Long Little Doggy!

Roo stretches it out because he's long!! He's long because he stretches it out!!

36" (give or take an inch or two) from tip of tail to end of snout. That is a long hot dog :)

If you know us then you know that we are kind of obsessed with our dog. He is our baby until a little one comes along (hopefully soon...cross your finger).

Flipflops are a must!

These are the top 5 reasons why I'm excited for summer:

5. The Fireworks and Parades: Can you believe that I actually have a parade that goes right past our house. So we wake up to Bonneville's marching band practicing and can't even leave our house, but are happily forced to just enjoy the parade...Summer holidays really are the best because of the fact that you really don't have to worry about buying presents or anything like that, but you can just go and enjoy good food and good people!

4. Green Grass: I am not a fan of the brown grass that is currently outside of our front door. I love just sitting on green, plush, good smelling grass. If you are in the same genre as my Rusty-Roo then you probably enjoy finding the stinkiest spot and rolling all over in it.

3. Swimming & Boating: Ty's Mom put in a pool last summer. So you can bet that if I'm not at work, you can most likely find me basking in the sun in her amazing pool. Water is so refreshing on a hot day. I also just love soaking up all of those UV rays into my pasty white self.

2. Free Time: I like finding fun random things to do. I'm looking forward to relaxing a little or finding myself doing things that aren't part of the day-to-day grind.

1. BBQ's: This one is my number one because I love to eat! I probably sound like a porker to you, but this is something that I truly enjoy. And what better way to do it then on a shady patio in the hot summer, eating some scrumptious potato salad, with the ones you love....also the smell of a hot grill is to-die-for!

"A perfect summer day is when the sun is shining, the breeze is blowing, the birds are singing, and the lawn mower is broken!"

Another Random Post

HAPPY EASTER!
Marie tagged me, but I've had very little time to write on my blog with all that's going on. We are currently finishing up this semester, and finishing the remodeling in our house to get it up on the market. So for now I'm posting a blog I did a few months ago on my myspace page (Some things do not apply to now). Love to all!

I'm glad I'm not in Relief Society!!

One thing I know for sure is that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is true!! I love the gospel and I know it sounds cliche to say so, but I don't know where I would be without it.

Currently I am in the Young Women's in my ward and I love it! I have been in there for almost 4 years. Crazy, I know, but I would much rather be there then in Relief Society. I am the 2nd counselor and since I've been in there we've been through 2 presidents, 4 1st counselors, and 3 secretaries...and there I stay. I think that apparently this is where I'm supposed to be at this time in my life.

Today I got a little emotional (actually I just tend to be somewhat of an emotional person) because first of all the first counselor who I dearly love was released and put into the primary. Also one of the teachers is moving away and another is also being put into the primary as well. Secondly, I am a little emotional over the fact that we will be soon putting our house up for sale and be moving out of this amazing ward. Growing up I didn't think that there was another ward besides my home ward that I could be so happy in. Well, I was wrong...which just goes to show that The Church is True whereever you go.

My heart goes out to the girls in my ward because I want them to stay strong and close to the gospel because I see what amazing potential they have. I also have seen the heartache of those I care about who have lost their testimonies.

My testimony has grown so much from this calling!

Back in the day...

This weekend was fun...and way too short! We reverted back to pre-married life and went to a battle of the bands in Salt Lake at the Avalon theatre. We actually decided to be supportive of a friend who is also reverting back to being a kid and is in a band. It was awesome, however, and we're glad that we went. Also, who can turn-down nummy Spaghetti Factory at the after party?

Goodbye Snow...Welcome Spring!

This snow has been amazing! I don't know about everyone else, but I don't remember there being this much snow since I was about 6. My sister told me that her 2nd graders loved it! They would innocently come back from recess with hats made out of snow still on their heads and soaked from head to toe...hehe. And, come to think of it they have probably never seen snow banks quite like the ones we've had this year.

Sometimes this year I have gotten a little frustrated with it when I seem to step in every pot hole with slush in it, or when I finally have a good hair day, only to have the snow turn it into looking like a wet dog. But when it's all said and done I am grateful for it! I wish that I hadn't broken my brand new camera because there were some truly amazing note worthy pictures this year. I am truly in awe at how much we are loved with all of the beautiful scenery even in the dead of winter (i.e. freshly fallen snow on trees).
Below is my favorite picture of this winter. It is on Brandon & Teresa's web page. The caption reads: "We force our child to play in the snow..."

A look into the Hodson's life....

Below is a slide show with a bunch of random pics from the past few years of our life together....I got them from my myspace account so most are from our trip to NZ with Ty's Mom and Jim.

Sara: The Newest Blogger

Hello everyone! I'm not really even sure exactly what a blog is....oh, wait for it... courtesy of Google: "A frequently updated journal or diary usually, often hosted by a third party." Anyways, I've decided to start one.

I've been using myspace for the past year and recently facebook. I love these for keeping in touch with high school friends, college friends, and family, but it seems a little juvenille for a 24 year old like myself. So, for now I'll keep them and start this Blog thing and see how it all goes.

K y'all, I'm off to my brand new job...and then Outback and Alvin and the Chipmunks for Ty's birthday.
